If you are experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, in distress, or struggling with relational problems or other life challenges, counselling can give you the confidential safe place to explore these issues.

You are the expert on you and counselling isn’t about being told what you should or shouldn’t do, it is a non-judgemental welcoming environment for you to work through decisions, strategies and find ways to live your life in a way that you are happy with. I can help you find your inner resources for change and your own personal growth.

Jennifer Bufton BSc (Hons), DipHE, MBACP (Accred).

I hold a First Class Honours degree in Advanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and I am a qualified Gestalt Counsellor. I am also a qualified Clinical Supervisor and an accredited registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), I am fully insured and hold an enhanced DBS certificate.

I work with adults, adolescents, children and families; offering face to face and online sessions. Alongside my private practice I work for Eastleigh Youth Counselling Service providing supervision to counsellors working within schools and young people in the local community. I also provide counselling for Abby’s Heroes, a local charity offering counselling to family members who have a young person with a cancer diagnosis. In addition to this, I am a part time Lecturer teaching Levels 4, 5 and 6 (BSc Hons) in Counselling.

Short or long term counselling is offered; this can be discussed in an initial assessment session; our counselling relationship is priority.

I can also offer telephone counselling.  This can help if you are not local and/or require more unsociable hours. Flexibility can also be considered to accommodate shift patterns (where possible).

I am local to the Eastleigh area and can cover Southampton, Winchester and surrounding areas.
